Our Story

Built by a lifter,
for lifters.

FitKind started with one frustrated gym session. Every app either did too much, looked terrible, or felt like it was designed for someone else.

The problem with fitness apps

Most workout trackers fall into two traps. Either they're obsessively social — built around sharing and reactions rather than training — or they're glorified spreadsheets with no personality.

Strong is close to perfect for logging, but the analytics are weak. Hevy looks good, but the feature depth isn't there. Fitbod is clever, but the AI suggestions feel disconnected from how real people train.

FitKind aims to sit between the data density of Strong and the polish of Hevy — with warmth that neither has. The Fire Score is the emotional centre: a living, breathing daily readiness number that makes you want to open the app every morning.

Why solo?

Ted (founder) believes the best products come from people who use them obsessively. There's no product committee, no stakeholder reviews, no design-by-committee. Every decision is made by someone who logs workouts four times a week and has opinions about RPE fields.

AI assistance accelerates the build. The creative and product decisions are still human.

What FitKind includes now

FitKind launches as a tracker first. No social layer. No full nutrition system. No marketplace clutter. The first release stays focused on logging, progression, recovery context, and offline reliability.

FitKind stays tracker-first: logging, progression, recovery context, and offline reliability are the core that ships at launch. Training plans, progress photos, GPS + wearables, and Kit are the power layer on our roadmap — coming after launch, never turning the product into a social app.
